Alice Campbell is a Scottish artist living and working in Glasgow, UK.
Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Fine art BA(Hons), First Class Honours, June 2017
My work depicts surreal, other-worldly and rather playful imagery with a strong narrative art style running throughout. Through predominantly painting and printmaking, I enjoy inventing my own characters and surroundings, often with scant regard to the logic and order of the real world.
While the imagery in my work frequently derives from my own experiences, more established narratives of folklore, mythology and illuminated manuscripts have had an important influence on my practice for some time.
